(1945-1951)

Nicknames: "Ursa Major Shield", "The Big Dipper", "Fincine Shield", "The Filmstrips and Shield"

Logo: On a space background with twinkling stars, we see 7 medium-sized stars that form the Big Dipper asterism of the Ursa Major constellation. The 7 stars glow one by one and we later see a curved, filmstrip-like ribbon with a shield in the middle with the word "Fincine" on the ribbon in script font fading in. After all the stars have finished glowing inside the shield, we see the word "presenta" in another script font fading in below.

FX/SFX: The shining and the fading.

Music/Sounds: Several theremin notes play with a piano portion and then an orchestral theme, with more theremin notes at the end.

Availability: It can be found on their movies such as Luci del varietà. If you find an old (for instance) Vestron Video International PAL tape from Italy, it might have this logo on it. Might turn up on TCM or AMC from time to time, too.

Editor's Note: None.
