Background

The Ford Motor Company is an automobile manufacturer organized on June 16, 1903 by Henry Ford in Detroit, Michigan. The company also produced several promotional films distributed by Goldwyn Pictures (now Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios).

Logo (June 10, 1915-June 20, 1927)

Visuals: On a black background, there are the words "Ford Educational Weekly" on top. Below, there is the title of the film with an angel to the right. Below, there are the words "Produced by Ford Motor Company" with the company name in the corporate font. Below, there are the words "Released through Goldwyn" appearing in Blackletter font. Below, there are the words:

at the bottom of the screen.

Variants:

  • On From Mud to Mug (and possibly other promotional films), the title card is different.
  • Somewhere on the screen, there are the words "Produced by Ford Motor Company" on the lower-right corner.

Availability: Seen on many Ford Animated Weekly promotional films released only from 1916 to 1926. It was seen on promotional films discovered on National Film Preservation Foundation's website include De-Light: Making an Electric Light Bulb and From Mud to Mug.
