Hello everyone. Unfortunately, we have to demote The789Guy from his position as Administrator due to recent allegations, backed up with evidence, coming to light about inappropriate behaviour he has engaged in. After much discussion amongst AVID's staff team, it was ultimately decided he was not fit to hold a position of authority on the Wiki and we have fast tracked his demotion so that it did not have to go through the RFR process. Yup, my guts were right, I knew for a fact thst someone here on this wiki, admin or not is a fraud in disguise, it’s too good to be true. I legitimately thought The789Guy was a decent admin, and seeing this and the allegations, I am starting to constsntly question myself. |

789 had already been found delivering punishments that were too harsh considering what rules had been broken. We found that he was banned on another server at one point for the same reason we demoted him. This led to us doing some digging to verify whether the ban was warranted. It was. |

This reminds me... remember Jeffersonkendric, right? He became an admin after the merge of Company Bumpers into the wiki, but it was later discovered that he had been doing sockpuppet stuff off-site, which then led to his block and demotion. |

We found that he was banned on another server at one point for the same reason we demoted him. This led to us doing some digging to verify whether the ban was warranted. It was. Yeah, I saw what happened with Marcel. Going from a three day temp-block to a permanent one is (to put it lightly) way too extreme. Oh and they compared him to rampant vandal Jack Norris. Which uh, yeah that's nowhere remotely close to true? And they bluntly told Sickminecraft that they'd never become a mod, which coming from an AVID admin was unnecessarily harsh. Still have a sour taste in my mouth about that As for the demotion, I've been working with the AVID staff on Discord to see if we can get concrete evidence regarding those allegations. Regardless if they're true or not (at this point it's looking likely), the fact 789 even has allegations like that to begin with is incredibly detrimental to the project |

WOW! At least he got what he deserved for breaking my dreams. Also, my goal is to become an Admin instead. I have been more active than ever on here to that will help me reach the requirements of becoming an Admin quicker and hopefully help build up my confidence and presence on here. Hopefully, I'll be a good future admin. |

1: it had nothing to do with you. 2: why do you keep making things about yourself? I warned you that being extremely self-centred wasn't going to help your chances at becoming a mod, and you show MORE self centredness by announcing you're aiming for admin on a thread that had nothing to do with it. It's clear you care more about your own personal gain than you do about the site, and until that changes, your chances of becoming staff will remain slim at best |

For EMG: I know this isn't to do with me. It's just my opinion. With the admin goal thingy, I'm just talking about my goal as I don't want to keep it a secret. For Cattotid: I have created a couple of Draft Pages and I split a few pages so at least I did some major contributions. Not to mention I have reported a few rule breakers. Most recently within the last week, I reported someone for not using licences on their image uploads. Also, I created an RfC for introducing a bot to separate unlicensed images so it will make it a bit easier to licence unlicensed images. So I'm basically the brainchild for a soon-to-be helpful thing! |

I'm planning on continuing major contributions very soon! I'm just on a bit of a hiatus due to the Swift server outage. When the issue is resolved, hopefully soon, I'll get back on my feet and continue major contributions. Right now, due to the outage, I'm just focused on RfC votes and talking on the forum just like I'm doing right now! |

This is disgusting... we have all the users on here with potential of creating well thought out articles, and they take that for granted by committing these acts behind our backs. Tell me, is it really difficult to prevent yourself ruining your own reputation? Is it? |

And also, how did the 789guy even got promoted in the first place? I'm very curious right now. I assume he was promoted before all of this fiasco happened in the first place. Although before he was promoted, he had already been receiving warnings because of his attitude on the wiki. I could be wrong here, I'm just not keeping myself up to date every now and then. |

He was promoted because he seemed okay at the time and his odd handling of administrative issues was not yet known. When they were, people started looking harder into his global account history. It is when looking harder that the allegations were made and events lead to this. Lets not blame any particular 'brainchild' for this. It's an unfortunate incident and it is already over. |
