I think it would be cool if the Audiovisual Identity Database had some sort of mascot. I mean, if the Lost Media Wiki or Wikipedia of all things can have a mascot, why can't we? I dunno, I think it'd be fun. Here's my mascot idea I came up with a while back, based on AVID's favicon. Here's his current design, next to his original design that I shared some time ago. I like him, looks like a 90s Dreamcast mascot
I like him. In fact, he should be the mascot for AVID!
Personally, I don't think a mascot is necessary, but let me put that aside. It looks cute, but does not go along with the rebranding so well. Your logo design looks modern and professional whereas the mascot you proposed is more of a 90's video game character targeted towards children. With the latter, I feel like this site should target a more general demographic rather than the kid web the logo community has been long associated with.
Something along the lines of Mini Squid Girl?
Sure does look cool with that CGI. But don't really expect a mascot for a website about CGI and admins that quit just because.
Cool!
i love this guy
I'm confused (random beeping noises play in the background)
