Forum:Thoughts on a spin off site called Consumer Electronics Database?

I was thinking maybe something could happen where we could have a spin off website about electronic logos, computer logos, social media logos, internet logos (Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Apple etc) on a site called Consumer Electronics Database! It would be similar to Logopedia but exclusively about electronics and stuff like that! Let me know you think about the idea?! |

This site basically has everything you just described here. Logopedia is for print logos |

Could we maybe do print logos on here too? |

Could we maybe do print logos on here too? AVID removed those because Logopedia does them better. |

I was banned from Logopedia a few years ago so that's why I was asking in the first place! I've learned a lot about certain site rules and such since! Maybe we could put AVID on fandom like Logopedia! Idk if it will work or not just a thought! |

Why on earth would AVID want to go to Fandom? |

I was thinking we could maybe use this site called Logo Timeline though they've been having some problems because it's basically just copying over Logopedia but I read a blog post from a user that they said if Fandom were to shut them down they could move to Miraheze or I prefer MediaWiki the same wiki that runs this one! Also we could maybe be more descriptive on logo summaries and be more focused on media print logos such as movies, TV, electronics, computers, social media, internet etc! Like I said before nothing's certain it's just a thought as of now! https://logo-timeline.fandom.com/wiki/Logo_Timeline_Wiki https://logo-timeline.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:RRabbit42/Logo_Timeline_Wiki_at_risk_of_being_shut_down?commentId=4400000000000094157&replyId=4400000000000236169 |

Why on earth would AVID want to go to Fandom? I mean,... why not? |

Fandom is cluttered with ads (on a predatory level) while lacking in customizable features and having terrible user support. I'd like to see any upsides to moving to Fandom that outweigh the downsides. Also, we already passed a Request for Comment (RfC) to remove print logos. Logopedia did them a lot better than we ever did; many of our print logo pages were plagiarized content from Logopedia. The idea being suggested is essentially Logopedia but on a smaller scope. Hard pass from me. |
