Personally, I have 2 candidates:

  1. the Soviet station IDs during the 1960's: mainly because of the animation and how the music sounds during the time. It just sounds and looks so interesting imo :v
  2. Indian/Pakistani logos: I honestly find these logos more unique-looking compared to other logos across the globe, mainly because of the use of religious content (Hindu deities and sometimes the Quran) and the use of stock music and stock sound effects.

Yeah I'm basically curious, and it would be interesting to hear yours.

British logos. No matter if they're cheap, bad, gross, etc., I still love them.

Vanity cards by TV/film figures with a weird sense of absurdity

Personally, I am a BIG fan of vanity cards, film logos, station ids, bumpers and more, with vanity cards being the most fascinating. They were one of the most notable logos I ever saw, and before joining the wiki (and still today) I was watching a TON of vanity cards, because their humour, wit, design, technique, music, sound effects, description and name all say something special about a logo: “Hey! I am a logo that is very special”.

Pre-2010s Hong Kong logos, mainly due to these logos' frequent usage of cel/motion controlled animation and early CGI. One thing I like about HK logos is that there is a big trend of logos taking place on a gradient background, or the logo having a chrome texture, and the soundtrack, which may be a bombastic fanfare or a spacey synth soundtrack.

  • Old video game logos, especially those from the 5th generation. It's been interesting to see how companies have adapted FMV capabilities for their logos during that time. Other than that, I am also fascinated by logos from rare computer games of the 1990s-2000s, but I don't come across those often. And those from arcade machines.
  • Old local station IDs. Many of these are pretty tough to find depending on the country, but most of the time it's worth the search. Looking at how smaller television stations adapt to newer technology and graphic design capabilities has been fascinating to me, even though half of the time there's some stinkers.
  • International film logos, obviously. I like Hong Kong / Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Southeast Asian and European ones the most.
  • Console startups.
  • Old cellphone startup / shutdown animations. I'm really mixed on the carrier ones however due to how these plaster stuff.
  • Obscure technology logos and trailers.
  • Home video logos from obscure formats.

I always got interested with Spanish home video logos from the 80's-90's over it's cheap or decent designs, compared with the Argentine ones. I always went quite obsessed with them back in the CLG Fandom when i was blocked here.

For me, it's the modern stuff. I like to marvel at what computers are now capable of.
