* '''Old local station IDs.''' Many of these are pretty tough to find depending on the country, but most of the time it's worth the search. Looking at how smaller television stations adapt to newer technology and graphic design capabilities has been fascinating to me, even though half of the time there's some stinkers. |

Personally, I am a BIG fan of vanity cards, film logos, station ids, bumpers and more, with vanity cards being the most fascinating. They were one of the most notable logos I ever saw, and before joining the wiki (and still today) I was watching a TON of vanity cards, because their humour, wit, design, technique, music, sound effects, description and name all say something special about a logo: “Hey! I am a logo that is very special”. |

Pre-2010s Hong Kong logos, mainly due to these logos' frequent usage of cel/motion controlled animation and early CGI. One thing I like about HK logos is that there is a big trend of logos taking place on a gradient background, or the logo having a chrome texture, and the soundtrack, which may be a bombastic fanfare or a spacey synth soundtrack. |
