1st Logo (December 1995)

Logo: On a black background, we see a gradient blue circle with the following words below:

FRONTIER
D E V E L O P M E N T S

with the first letter of "FRONTIER" being larger than the rest and "DEVELOPMENTS" spaced out, all below.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Only appeared on Darxidefor Sega 32X.

2nd Logo (1998-2000)

Nicknames: "The Earth", "Eclipsed Earth"

Logo: On a black background, an eclipsed Earth appears with the lit area on the top-left, a red comet flies from the top-right and crashes into the bottom of the eclipse, lighting up the "FRONTIER" part of the company name styled from before, forming the "DEVELOPMENTS" part, completing the company name.

FX/SFX: The Earth, the comet, and the company name.

Music/Sounds: A two-note choir sounder accompanied by a whoosh and a boom.

Availability: Only appeared on V2000 and Infestation.

3rd Logo (March 25, 2003- )

Nicknames: "The Laser", "Wireframe Earth", "The Earth II", "Digital Earth"

Logo: On a black background, a cyan laser forms a rectangular grid with the wireframe of the text "FRONTIER". The laser forms a wireframe globe appears by spinning to the left of the rectangle, followed by the texture wiping in out of clouds. The text "FRONTIER" becomes solidified and white and all of the wireframes disappear.

Variants:

  • On many games, the logo is still.
  • On the Xbox version of RollerCoaster Tycoon, the still logo pans upwards, and copyright information is seen below.
  • On RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, the logo is on a white background, then a coaster car appears from the right and circles the globe before rolling away.
  • On Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, the logo is already formed. Then Wallace appears on a chair being lowered by ropes. Gromit, from off-screen, pastes an "Anti-Pesto" sign over the globe, and then Wallace uses a powerdrill-like device to attach the sign, but he then loses his balance and falls down, along with the "FRONTIER" text.
  • On Thrillville and Thrillville: Off the Rails, a homemade coaster rolls down a loop the loop near the globe. It wobbles and a wooden girl falls off as the coaster makes it through the loop. The girl then falls back into the coaster car and it speeds away.
  • On Kinect Disneyland Adventures, we see a skinny brown figure running on the globe who looks and waves at us, before getting dizzy and falling off it. The camera then zooms out to show the logo, and the "Powered by COBRA" logo fades in at the bottom right.
  • On Planet Coaster, the logo is on a light blue background with the "FRONTIER" text in white. King Coaster (the main mascot of Planet Coaster) runs in from a distance from the left, punts the globe from behind and knocks the letters off the "FRONTIER" (barring "IER") text. The camera then falls on the side while the globe then slowly rolls to the right and covers up the screen while we fade out.

FX/SFX: Nice CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The normal variant uses loud whirring and synth sounds.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, we hear the sounds of a rollercoaster, followed by a crowd screaming when the coaster circles the globe.
  • On Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, we hear a brief jazzy composition, followed by Wallace (voiced by the late Peter Sallis) saying "Whoa! Hang on, Gromit!" when he appears, jackhammer sounds when he attaches the sign, and glass shattering sounds when the text falls.
  • On the Thrillville games, we hear squeaky wheel sounds as the coaster rolls, followed by a gasp when the girl falls out of it, and kid shouting "Yay!" when she falls back in.
  • On Kinect Disneyland Adventures, we hear a brief, happy-sounding musical composition with the figure chattering while he runs.
  • On Planet Coaster, we hear King Coaster's footsteps while he runs, a quiet thump when he punts the globe, followed by him laughing and a brief guitar ditty when the globe rolls.

Availability: The original variant has only appeared on the Xbox version of RollerCoaster Tycoon, Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo and Dog's Life. The variants all appear on their respective games.
