Background

GSK plc, formerly GlaxoSmithKline plc, is a British multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with global headquarters in London, England. Established in 2000 by a merger of Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham. GSK is the tenth largest pharmaceutical company and #294 on the 2022 Fortune Global 500, ranked behind other pharmaceutical companies China Resources, Sinopharm, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Roche, AbbVie, Novartis, Bayer, and Merck. In 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare business as Haleon.

1st Logo (2000-2022)

Visuals: There is the old corporate GSK logo (An orange triangle with rounded edges with the text "gsk" in it) flash in. Then, the logo beats like a heart.

Later Variants: In later years, the flash doesn't occur and the logo is already present. Sometimes, the logo does nothing at all.

Technique: Probably 2D Animation

Audio: A chorus going "Haaaaa" followed by a heartbeat.

Audio Variants: On the later variant, the chorus doesn't sing. The still version has no sound.

Availability: Can be seen in a lot of their commercials. Like Stanley Steemer, it can be found on big syndication networks. The logo is currently being phased out and being replaced by the Haleon logo on advertising (though it still can be seen on packaging for the time being).

2nd Logo (2022)

Visuals: There is the modern GSK logo (the text GSK but with some cuts in it) twirl around.

Variants: At the start of the video, the classic GSK shifts into the modern GSK, making the triangle drop a square-like figure.

Technique: 2D Animation

Audio: The music in the video

Availability: Current. Seen on GSK's YouTube video announcing the rebrand. You can see it here. The logo as a GIF can be seen on GSK's website. As of now, this logo has not been in any commercial.
