Background

The Gibson Group is a multi-faceted screen and visitor experience production company with decades of knowledge, experience and consistent performance. They are company of excellent creative minds working across a diverse range of media, platforms and genres. They also draw upon strengths in storytelling, production, effective project management and well-honed, creative problem solving to deliver new and exciting projects for clients, visitors and audiences.

1st Logo (1990)


Visuals: On a black background, there are two copies of an odd "G" with an eye inside the text. Below it, there's the stacked text "GIBSON GROUP". Everything is set in a stony texture.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Shark in the Park.

2nd Logo (August 28, 1991-2001)


Visuals: On a black background, there is a dark turquoise eye. Inside it, the two letters "GG" in the same style as before, rotate from the upper side of the screen. Below, there is the purple text "GIBSON GROUP" in the same font as the previous logo. Sometimes, a copyright date is shown below the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Gibson Group's shows from the period, like Cover Story and Backch@t.

3rd Logo (August 28, 2001-2009)


Visuals: On a black background, there is a curved sheet of a metal with a mountain texture flying in. A spark emits the Gibson Group logo from the last two logos in silver. When the sheet of metal falls down, the text "GIBSON GROUP" wipes in below the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whoosh sound, followed by choir and sparkling sounds. Sometimes, the end theme plays over.

Availability: Seen on Gibson Group's shows and documentaries from the era, like In Search of the Moa, A Tale of Three Chimps and Frontseat, among others.

4th logo (2009-2015)


Visuals: On a black background, there are two eyes. The eyes look up, and the text "GIBSON GROUP" pops up word by word. The eye blinks and the light turns on, revealing it was the same Gibson Group logo from the last logos, in sky blue. The background turns white while the text changes to a black color.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Dreaming synths, and popping noises.

Availability: Seen on Gibson Group's shows, documentaries and telefilms from the era, like Eruption.

5th Logo (2015-)

Visuals: A white background consisting of a grey circle, with four colored semi circles (yellow, green, purple and blue) and the words Gibson Group placed next to it.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A synth choir, or the end theme.

Availability: Unknown.
