Background

The Google Home name was originally used for a line of smart speakers released by Google on November 4, 2016. In May 2019, Google announced that the devices would be rebranded under the Google Nest banner, and unveiled the Nest Hub Max. The Google Home name is still used for older Google Nest products and the application for iOS and Android.
