Background
High Moon Studios (formerly Sammy Entertainment and Sammy Studios) is an American video game developer initially formed in 2001 under Japanese game retailer Sammy. After splitting off its parent company in March 2005, the developer was acquired by Vivendi Games in January 2006 and was placed under Sierra Entertainment; It is now owned by Activision Blizzard, Itself owned by Microsoft. High Moon has developed multiple Transformers video games and assisted in the development of select Call of Duty games, as well as Destiny.
1st Logo (August 16, 2005-June 29, 2011)
Visuals: On a black background, there is a blue moon. Below it, there is the text "HIGH MOON" in a tall font, with "STUDIOS" underneath. The logo is surrounded by a glow.
Variant: On the Transformers games developed by the studio, an animated version exists. On a space background, Cybertron zooms out from a light effect, and robotic pieces form a broken copy of the text. Then the robotic pieces turn into the proper text, Cybertron transforms into the moon, and the standard logo fades in.
Technique: A still digital graphic. CGI for the Transformers variant.
Audio:
- None for Darkwatch.
- On The Bourne Conspiracy, a synth drone is heard.
- On the Transformers variant, a synth drone with metallic robotic sounds is heard.
Availability: Seen on Darkwatch for PS2 and Xbox, The Bourne Conspiracy for PS3 and Xbox 360, and two Transformers games: War for Cybertron and Dark of the Moon for PS3 and Xbox 360.
2nd Logo (August 21, 2012-)
Visuals: On a space background, the text "HIGH MOON" zooms out with "STUDIOS" on the bottom right, and a moon on the left side zooms out. The logo shines.
Variant: A variant on a black background with a zooming-in effect exists.
Technique: 2D digital animation.
Audio: A robotic sound. On Deadpool, a whoosh sound is heard. Otherwise, the sound depends on the game.
Availability: Seen on High Moon-developed games, starting with Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
