Background

International Film was an Egyptian film production and distribution company founded by Egyptian actor Samir Sabry in the 1970s.

1st Logo (May 16, 1988)

Visuals: On a cerulean/blue-violet background, there is a long moving pink filmstrip in a wave-like manner. It then zooms out for a short time, as a golden "S" in golden font then fades in the middle. the "S" then constantly blinks from gold to black, and while it is blinking, the white company name in Central Arabic and in a stacked format (the bottom text displaying "سمير صبرى" and the top text displaying "انترناشونال فيلم"), which translates to "Samir Sabry" and "International Film", respectively fades in between the "S". Lastly, the Arabic "يقدم" fades in below. the filmstrip keeps moving until the logo fades out.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A crescending orchestral fanfare consisting of a xylophone, strings, and woodwind.

Availability: Seen on نشاطركم الأفراح (Share your joys).

2nd Logo (October 23, 1995)

Visuals: A model of the Earth is seen spinning at a diagonal axis in deep space. The earth slowly zooms away for a short amount, which gives room for the same Arabic translation of the company name in white and the English company name "INTERNATIONAL FILM" to slide in from left and right respectively and stop below the spinning earth. Once it stops, "gold" in gold wipes in below the Arabic translation, followed by the English translation wiping in below the English translation shortly after.

Technique: Live action model work and chroma-keyed effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on في الصيف الحب جنون (Love Is Crazy in the Summer).

3rd Logo (October 14, 1996-March 14, 2001)

Visuals: In space, there is a set of stacked sideways metallic text with a burst effect, appearing to be the company name "INTERNATIONAL FILM" in English. The text flies around and twists to face forward, revealing more of the company name. As the screen follows the flying text, we encounter a brown asteroid, what appears to be Planet Saturn, another brown asteroid on the top-right, and a brown ringed planet on the top right. The text twists and turns whilst maintaining the burst effect until we see the planet Earth on the bottom-left, where the text slowly stops in front of the Earth to face forward along with the burst effect fading away. Finally, "PRESENTS" in the same style as the company name fades in below the company name, and the said company name leaves a shine from left to right.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A rather dramatic string piece with a wind howling sound at the end.

Availability: Seen on علاقات مشبوهة (Suspicious Connections), إنذار بالقتل (Death's Warning) and جحيم تحت الأرض (Underground Hell)
