On December of that year, the station started carrying TBS programs and two years later, became a charter station of their Japan News Network (JNN). In 1975, ABC switched to ANN and began carrying NET programs. In 2018, ABC restructured as a holding company and because of this, the ABC television license was taken over by Asahi Television Broadcasting Corporation and its callsign was renamed.
