Jellyvision Games

1st Logo (September 12, 1995-October 31, 2000)

Visuals: On a black background, a purple square-like shape fades in, and white text saying "Jellyvision" in a cursive font, appears letter by letter. After all the text is shown, the logo moves away.

Variants:

  • On their 1995 games, the logo is white and the text is black.
  • On You Don't Know Jack the NetShow Version 1.5, The "Written & Directed by" appears, and switches to Jellyvision logo.
  • On You Don't Know Jack: 5th Dementia, a version of the logo with more shading flies onto the screen. Once the jingle has finished, the logo moves back and splits in half, revealing the menu screen of the game.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A jazzy tune, and a door closing sound effect when the logo goes away. In You Don't Know Jack: 5th Dementia, there is some industrial whooshes as the logo splits in half.

Availability: Seen on You Don't Know Jack: Sports, You Don't Know Jack: Vol. 2, You Don't Know Jack the NetShow, You Don't Know Jack: Movies, You Don't Know Jack: Television, You Don't Know Jack: Vol. 3, You Don't Know Jack: Offline, You Don't Know Jack: Louder! Faster! Funnier! & You Don't Know Jack (PS1). The white version is seen only on You Don't Know Jack: Volume 1 and You Don't Know Jack: Volume 1 XL.

2nd Logo (November 3, 2000)

Visuals: The sequence starts on a white background. We then fly into a futuristic-looking tunnel with blue lights, as we run into the Sierra logo on a metallic background. We then continue flying through a tunnel with green lights as we run into the Starsphere Interactive logo on a metallic background. The sequence continues flying through a tunnel with red lights as we run into the Jellyvision logo on a metallic background. We then reach the end of the tunnel as the screen cuts to black.

Technique: 3D animation.

Audio: Various futuristic sound effects as we fly through the tunnel. When the end of the tunnel is reached, there is a glass breaking sound.

Availability: Only seen on You Don't Know Jack: Mock 2.

3rd Logo (December 1, 2003)

Visuals: On a black background, the Jellyvision speech bubble logo (with no text) appears on screen. It then bounces back and forth to the music as each letter in the word "Jellyvision" appears one by one. When each letter has appeared, the logo bounces on screen to the music while it forms a white border. The logo then zooms out.

Technique: Some simple 2D animation.

Audio: Same as the first logo.

Availability: Only seen on You Don't Know Jack: The Lost Gold.

4th Logo (March 5, 2007-September 22, 2008)

Visuals: The sequence opens on a purple background with various stars. The stars then move to form the shape of the Jellyvision speech bubble. A line then connects all of the stars together. The stars then flash and form the Jellyvision logo. The logo then turns 3D as it turns sideways and flies away.

Technique: A mix of 2D and 3D animation

Audio: An orchestral soundtrack that matches what occurs in the logo.

Availability: Only seen on the Flash version of You Don't Know Jack.

5th Logo (February 8, 2011)

Visuals: Very similar to the third logo. The logo bounces back and forth as each letter of "Jellyvision" appears. When each letter has appeared, the text "G A M E S" in the JackRoman font fades in underneath. The logo then disappears in a puff of dust.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: An upbeat jingle that matches the animation of the logo. When the logo disappears, a fart sound is heard.

Availability: Only seen on You Don't Know Jack (2011).

Jackbox Games

Logo (June 12, 2013-)

Visuals: The screen fades into a black background. There is a small "X" made out of tape. A cardboard box then slides towards it. Once it has landed on the "X" the box then jumps and bounces around a few times. Then, a bald man's head (the man from the cover of You Don't Know Jack) pops out of the box and raises his eyebrow at the viewer as the print logo appears, which is bold blue text reading:

jackbox

games

The print logo pixelates to the syllables of the jingle. The sequence then fades out.

Variants: On all of the games in the The Jackbox Party Pack series, the logo changes depending on the theme of the menu.

  • On The Jackbox Party Pack, the logo plays out the same, except in a white wooden room. When the box opens, the print logo is in white instead of blue. When the logo is finished, the screen pans the camera left to the menu for the game.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 2, the logo is very similar to the logo from the previous pack, except the chord stings are in a different key, and upon the box opening, the game boxes in the pack appear in this order: Fibbage 2, Bidiots, Bomb Corp., and Earwax. Just as the logo finishes, the box for Quiplash XL drops onto the screen, crushing the Jackbox head. The logo for the pack then appears.
  • On Drawful 2, the logo is in a hand-drawn style. When the logo finishes, it zooms up as a whistling sound is heard.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 3, the logo takes place in an insane asylum. Instead of tape on the ground, there is a hand-drawn "X", and instead of the logo sliding in, it is thrown onto the "X". When the logo is finished, the camera zooms over to the main menu of the game.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 4, the logo takes place in an attic. The screen fades into a different angle of the box, which is on a blanket, before switching to the same angle that every other logo is in as the logo plays out like the regular one. The jingle is also clearer.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 5, the logo is much more complicated. The sequence opens on a shot of the Earth from far away, before it explodes and a carboard box flies out from it. It flies past various planets before stopping in the center of the screen. The logo then plays out as before, except the Jack head now has a pink astronaut helmet on. When the logo is finished, a visor with the You Don't Know Jack logo on it flips on, before it flies out of the box, leaving trails of chrome packing peanuts behind as the box falls away.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 6, the logo takes place in a bathroom. The screen fades into a pink bathroom, with the Jack head inside a clawfoot bathtub filled with black liquid. The Jack head's box is on the side of the screen. We can see a small bottle of lotion (the game "box" for Trivia Murder Party 2, a game in The Jackbox Party Pack 6) on the edge of the bathtub pouring out into the bathtub. The screen then cuts to a shot of the Jackbox head staring at us. As he raises an eyebrow at us, he sinks into the liquid. The sequence then fades to footage of various black bubbles popping and appearing, as the Jackbox Games print logo appears and pixelates to the jingle. When the logo finishes pixelating, a minimalist box icon fades in as a small head slides out of it, forming a more minimalist version of the Jackbox Games logo.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 7, the logo takes place in a city. The screen fades into a giant cardboard box in the middle of a street. The box is tied down with ties. Suddenly, each tie becomes untied, and the box opens. When the box opens, confetti, various colored balloons, and a giant balloon that looks like the Jack head rise into the air. The screen then cuts to a view of the same scene from above. The screen then cuts to a shot with various buildings. We can see the various colored balloons rising into the air. We can also see the Jack head balloon, and another balloon that looks like one of the characters from The Devils and the Details (one of the pack's games), starting to rise above the buildings. Front and center is the Jackbox Games print logo on a blue billboard. There is a dog on one of the roofs of the buildings barking at the balloons. The screen then cuts to a shot of all of the games in the pack portrayed as balloons. Blather 'Round's balloon is various shapes with the logo on it, Champ'd Up is one of the characters from the game as a balloon, with the logo on its belt, Talking Points is two yellow hands with the game's logo on it pointing in opposite directions, Quiplash 3 is one of the game's characters with the game's logo in front of its face, and The Devils and the Details, as previously described, is one of the characters from the game with the logo on its shirt. We can also see the logo for the pack, which is a giant red 7 (resembling a 7 you would see in a casino) with two banners, reading "THE JACKBOX" and "PARTY PACK", strewn across it. As we slowly pan away from the scene, the logo fades out.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 8, we quickly fade into light blue cartoon doors opening to reveal a party in a light blue room, full of crudely drawn light blue people. The camera is low to the ground, and moves through the crowd before reaching the doors on the other side of the room, which open upon the camera's arrival, revealing a chef holding a tray. The camera pans up to reveal a white cake with blue frosting and raspberries, alongside five other cakes representing the five games in the pack. (From left to right, front to back, The Poll Mine is a blue cake with dark blue frosting spilling over the sides, Drawful Animate is a white cake with blue icing on top, a pink ribbon, yellow frosting circles and a lavender and purple base, Weapons Drawn is an ornate dark red cake with white frosting and red "blood splatters" on the sides, and Job Job is a dark brown cake representing a briefcase, with light blue trim and a lemon yellow handle.) The top of the cake front and center begins to shift before revealing the Jackbox head, sending raspberries and pieces of the cake astray. The Jackbox head does his signature eyebrow-raise before all of the cakes are tossed upwards off of the screen. On this logo and the one following it, the "jackbox games" text doesn't appear on screen.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 9, the sequence starts in a rocky desert. A warning sign with the minimalist Jackbox logo on it is seen on the left-hand side of the screen, and a tumbleweed passes by. An object underneath the sand scurries towards the camera (hitting the sign in the process). It emerges from the sand, revealing itself to be the familiar Jack head. He looks around before raising his eyebrow at us. He then looks up as the screen pans up to the menu, showing five billboards representing the five games in the pack.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 10, we see a top-down view of a pizza box with a cartoon imp on it, along with a lone pizza slice sticking out of the box and a rat nibbling at the slice. The camera turns to face the side of the box. The box shakes, scaring off the rat. The box opens to reveal the Jack head with a pizza slice on top of him. He does his signature eyebrow-raise as the pizza slice falls off of him. He looks to the right as the camera pans to the main menu. The text returns in this version, but is now completely italic and in the same weight. It pixelates along to the jingle like in previous versions.
  • On The Jackbox Party Starter, we open on a blue background with a spotlight shining on the box, with defibrillators attached to the sides of the box, the wires running off screen. The box lets out a small jolt. After a pause, the box jolts again, flashing and sending out sparks before the box opens as blue and yellow confetti falls from the top of the screen, revealing the Jackbox head, doing its signature eyebrow-raise. The logo dashes off to the right, in a similar vain to the Pack 3 or Drawful 2 logos.

Technique: 3D animation (with the exception of the logo from Drawful 2, which is 2D animation, and on The Jackbox Party Pack 8, where the 3D is mixed with 2D).

Audio:

  • In the main logo & the logo seen in The Jackbox Party Pack, there are two chord stings that play as the Jackbox box slides towards the "X". Some rustling, a quack, and a grunt is heard as the logo bounces. One final sting and a chorus is heard as the box opens. A vocoded voice saying "Jack-box games!" is heard when the logo appears.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack, the sound of a lightswitch is heard when the logo begins.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 2, the stings are lower, and a fart sound is heard when the Quiplash XL box drops down.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 3, some electricity crackles are heard when the logo fades in.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 4, some music box stings playing the tune of the Jackbox Games jingle are heard as the camera angles change.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 5, there is a loud boom as Earth explodes, and a jarring chorus is heard as the box flies past the planets. When the box reaches the center, a scratch sound is heard. When the logo flies off, there is sound effects that match what is happening.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 6, things are almost completely different than normal. There is a calming classical theme, as a voice sings "It's time to play The Jackbox Party Pack 6" in Italian. The voice slowly fades out as the Jackbox Games jingle plays.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 7, there is various city sounds as an ambient synth theme starts to play. We then hear various thud noises as the ties come loose. When the box opens, there is sounds of balloons popping and sounds of fireworks. The synth theme continues to play and grow louder as the balloons rise into the air. When we cut to the shot of all of the pack's games together, we can hear a harp, birds chirping, and the "Jack-box games!" jingle from the previous logos albeit in a deeper vocoded voice.
  • The Jackbox Party Pack 8 uses a funky theme, which ends with the same "Jack-box games!" jingle.
  • On The Jackbox Party Pack 9, we open on a guitar note, similar to the end of the Breaking Bad theme, as a string section holds out a note. Faint sounds of wind and the noise of the tumbleweed skirting across the ground can be heard as well. As the Jackbox head makes its way towards the sign, there is several ascending orchestral notes before a "BANG!" sound is heard as it hits the pole. Four more orchestral notes, now including brass, are heard as the Jackbox head traverses to center stage. When it emerges and looks around, a quiet flourish, as well as two percussive notes, are heard. The "Jack-box games!" vocoded jingle is heard over a triumphant orchestra, including strings and brass. As the camera pans up, we can hear a woodwind instrument continuing to tremolo alongside a string chord that rises with the camera, eventually landing at a C-major chord as the camera stops. When the logo transitions to the pack's splash screen, there is a rattling sound, as well as a final airy gust.
  • On The Jackbox Party Starter, there is a short whooshing noise before hearing jolts of electricity. When the box opens, a calm synth chord plays as the "Jack-box games!" jingle is sung over it, as well as the sound of chimes. There is a cartoon-like dashing sound effect as the logo moves away.

Availability: The standard version is seen on Fibbage (standalone), Fibbage XL (standalone), Quiplash (standalone), and Quiplash 2 InterLASHional (standalone). The hand-drawn version is seen on Drawful 2. Each logo from The Jackbox Party Pack series is only seen on the pack that it appears on.
