Background

In 2002, two North American subsidiaries VR-1 Entertainment and Jaleco USA was merged by PCCW Japan into a single company Jaleco Entertainment and moved its headquarters to Buffalo. The company stopped publishing video games in 2004.

1st Logo (2002-2003)

Visuals: On a purple background, there is the text "{{jaleco}}" with the text "ENTERTAINMENT" on the bottom right, surrounded by a white border.

Variant: Sometimes, the background is black.

Technique: A still digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on several games like Nightcaster II: Equinox for the Xbox, Super Bubble Pop for the PlayStation, Xbox, Game Boy Advance and GameCube and Jazz Jackrabbit for Game Boy Advance.

2nd Logo (2003-2004)

Visuals: On the same purple background, there is a white light that forms the Jaleco Entertainment logo from before, with two circles surrounding the logo. A dot moves over and lands on the "j" letter.

Variant: A still version exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A deep synth with some whooshing.

Availability: Seen on Lowrider for the PlayStation 2, World Championship Pool 2004 and Room Zoom: Race for Impact.
