John Masius Productions
1st Logo (January 8, 1999-December 20, 2002)
Logo: We see a man with a cap (likely Masius himself) in the living room, reading a newspaper while his big dog looks at him as it barks, causing Masius to look at him and sigh. The words appear underneath "JOHN MASIUS PRODUCTIONS", and "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" in smaller text and in the same font.
Variant: On the first season of Providence, we see a man (also likely Masius himself) sleeping on a couch. He rolls back, with the company name's on top. The "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" text fades in on the bottom.
FX/SFX: Live-action.
Music/Sounds: The sound of the dog barking, the newspaper rustling as Masius puts it down, and he sighs. The variant has a woman saying "He's, uh, in the meeting." Original NBC airings used a generic theme and a voiceover.
Availability: Seen on Providence.
Editor's Note: None.
2nd Logo (June 27, 2003-August 24, 2010)
Logo: On a black background, we see a box of a cat named Murray, walking towards to the camera while meowing. The stacked words "John Masius Productions" are shown below in the Tempus Sans font.
Variant: There is a variant used on the early episodes of Dead Like Me where we see a box of a photo of the big dog and Masius from the previous logo as he looks at the dog. The name is shown below in caps lock.
FX/SFX: The live-action clip. On the early episodes on Dead Like Me, none.
Music/Sounds: Murray meowing, then John Masius calls his name. On the early episodes on Dead Like Me, it's the closing theme of the show.
Availability: Seen on Dead Like Me and the first two seasons of HawthoRNe.
