Background

John Williams Productions was a Scottish production company. In 1999, they acquired the distribution company Sports Business and Leisure, soon beginning distributing TV programmes on DVD and VHS.

1st Logo (December 2, 1999)

Visuals: On a sky footage background, a camera pans around a flat brown gradient grainy rectangle with a blue sphere on top of it. A purple letter "W" made out of three lines with a red outline fades in, along with the white words "JOHN WILLIAMS" above with a drop shadow effect in an arc and a purple word "productions" below in an arc, too. There are two red upside-down triangles between the text.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dreamy MIDI piano and synth tune.

Availability: Seen on Still Game.

2nd Logo (2005?)

Visuals: On a black background with a white orb, a blue sphere from before is shown with its grainy part spinning. The words from the previous logo are also shown in a same format, bit in a different font and color, and the letter "W" from before fades in.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: Various dings are heard, followed by a 7-note synth trumpet.

Availability: Seen on Classic Taggart: Knife Edge.
