Background

Jonathan M. Shiff Productions is an Australian television production company founded by Jonathan M. Shiff in 1988, but did not use a logo until 1994.

1st Logo (29 August 1994-22 December 1997)

Visuals: Slowly panning through a starfield background with the stars twinkling everywhere, a yellow square with a UFO in the same color is shown leaving a trail on it. "JONATHAN M. SHIFF PRODUCTIONS" is seen below in an electronic font, separated with a line from "PRODUCTIONS", which is spaced out to fit the width of the line.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A glistening sound.

Availability: Seen on Ocean Girl.

2nd Logo (12 February 1999-11 January 2002)

Visuals: On a starfield, an animated UFO flies in and draws the name with a blue beam. Then it freezes and turns into the same picture as the first logo, but with a more solid orange. The starfield then turns black.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The ending theme.

Availability: Seen on Thunderstone, Horace and Tina, and Cybergirl.

3rd Logo (3 March 2003-21 November 2012)

Visuals: On a starfield background, a more elaborate version of the UFO logo comes in and draws the text "JONATHAN M. SHIFF", in the same electronic font from the previous two logos, with a blue beam, separated by a bar and with "PRODUCTIONS" in spaced-out letters underneath. Once it is finished, it spins and jolts above the text, while blinking and flashing.

Variant: Starting in 2007, the UFO has a metallic texture.

Technique: Advanced CGI, compared to the previous two.

Audio: The ending theme.

Availability: It appeared on shows such as Pirate Island, The Elephant Princess, Wicked Science, H2O: Just Add Water, and Lightning Point (a.k.a. Alien Surf Girls). This may have been retained on most HappyKidsTV prints of H2O: Just Add Water, however, some episodes of the series on HappyKids may use the next logo.

4th Logo (26 July 2013-)

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme.

Availability: It was seen on Mako: Island of Secrets (a.k.a. Mako Mermaids), Reef Doctors, and The Bureau of Magical Things.
