Background

Kâng Pich Films (កងពេជ្រភាពយន្ត) was a Cambodian film production company founded in 1966 by Chea Nouk. Many of their films starred Kong Som Eun who was a major actor during the Golden Age of Cambodian cinema. The company shut down when the Khmer Rouge came into power, and Chea Nouk died under their reign. Today, only one film from this company survives, the 1971 release Panhchapor Devy (បញ្ចពណ៌ទេវី), which was also their most successful work and was also screened in neighboring Thailand.
