Background

Kaos Studios was founded by THQ in 2006 to employ staff from Trauma Studios, creators of the acclaimed "Desert Combat" mod for Battlefield 1942. First, they were hired by DICE in 2004, but later broke to THQ. In 2011, THQ started closing several internal studios, with Kaos closing in June of that year.

1st Logo (August 24, 2007-February 25, 2008)

Visuals: There are some orange rays beaming from the word "KAOS" made in a stretched-out font, with some black powders flying from the letters to make them clean. Then "STUDIOS" appears below in a slow wipe effect with an orange light.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A sound similar to gas popping from aerated water.

Availability: Seen on Frontlines: Fuel of War and its trailers.

2nd Logo (June 13, 2010-March 15, 2011)

Visuals: There is the complete logo from before made of metal, without any line inbetween. A spark comes and creates the line, which ignites at the very end and the logo burns into a waving US flag in its first two letters and the North Korean flag in its last two.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A metallic clang and match ignition as the line is drawn, followed with firecrackers.

Availability: Seen on Homefront and its trailers.
