Background

Israel broadcaster Keshet Broadcasting made its first way into the international market with the debut of the series Phenomeon on NBC in 2007. Keshet International was established in 2012 and is led by chief executive officer Alon Shtruzman. The company has subsidiaries in the United States (Keshet Studios), the United Kingdom (Keshet Productions and Greenbird), Hong Kong (Keshet Asia), and Germany (Tresor and Keshet Tresor Fiction) that develop and produce Keshet properties with local talent, and a distribution hub in Asia.



1st Logo (October 24, 2007-September 7, 2016)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a silver 3D TV tube, with rainbow colors moving around. We then see the text "KESHET" in a 3D font appearing on the TV tube blurring in, as the colors stop.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo can appear close-up.
  • On $9.99 and The Ex-List, a still version of the logo is shown on a black background.
  • Sometimes, it shares the screen with other logos.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None or the opening/end theme of the movie/show. Original airings used a generic theme and a voiceover.

Availability: Seen on early Keshet-produced US shows, such as the three short-lived series Phenomenon, The Ex-List, and Traffic Light, and more commonly on Homeland. Also seen on the 2008 film $9.99. Even after the fourth logo was introduced, Homeland continued to use the logo until its fifth season. It's also seen on all episodes of Tyrant in place of the 3rd and 4th logos.

2nd Logo (July 26, 2012-December 19, 2014)

Visuals: Over a black background is the rainbow TV tube from the previous logo, only in 2D as it moves through the duration of the logo.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • A white background version exists.
  • On Deal with It, the logo is next to the United Studios Israel logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None, the closing theme or a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on the short-lived series 3, as well as the failed pilot of Mother's Day and Deal with It.

3rd Logo (July 17, 2013-)

Visuals: Over a black background is the rainbow TV tube from before wiping in. Then we see the company name in the same font as before, with "INTERNATIONAL" in a Helvetica font wiping in as the TV tube animates.

Variants:

  • On the Spanish version of Boom!, the logo is smaller, and copyright details appear on the top and bottom.
  • On Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, the logo is gold with a gold frame around it on a brown wall.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whoosh sound, sometimes coupled with the end theme of the show, or none. ABC airings used a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on various international versions of Boom!, plus Rising Star on ABC. Also seen on films such as Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer.

4th Logo (February 5, 2015-)

Visuals: Over a white circular gradient background is half of a red TV tube flipping in. It then flips to reveal a mirrored version of the red TV tube on the right. Then it flips again to reveal the logo from before, complete with the animation of the rainbow TV tube.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • The logo sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • On shows produced in Britain, the word "INTERNATIONAL" is replaced by "PRODUCTIONS UK".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as before; or a generic theme on CBS or NBC.

Availability: Seen on Keshet International shows, like Boom!, Allegiance, Dig, Your Family of Mine, Homeland starting with season 6, The Brave and Wisdom of the Crowd.

5th Logo (June 25-September 10, 2015)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a rainbow circle with the Keshet wordmark as it shines around, showing its colors. Underneath is the DCP logo inside the circle.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth drone with some whooshes. Fox airings used a generic theme and voiceover.

Availability: Only seen on the short-lived American adaptation of Boom! on Fox.

6th Logo (August 12-October 7, 2019)

Visuals: Over a black background is the tube in 2D, with the text in a different font and the rainbow colors slightly altered. Below it is the multicolored words "MEDIA GROUP".

Technique: None. [possible misuse]

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Our Boys on HBO.

7th Logo (August 12, 2019-)

Visuals: Over a white background is rainbow-colored squares. Then it reveals "Distributed by", first in black and then white, as the squares form the tube, with the text in the same font as before as a shadow then appears.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is still.
  • The logo may be either appear on a white circular gradient background.
  • For the opening variant, "Distributed by" at the left is replaced by "Presents" at the right.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A whoosh and a chime sound, a shining sound or none.

Availability: Seen at the beginning and the end of some Keshet International programmes such as Our Boys. The opening variant was seen on a reprinting of Commandments.

8th Logo (September 13, 2019-)


Visuals: Over a white circular gradient background is the tube with "studios" in a script-like font growing in as the rainbow colors moving around.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • A close-up version exists.
  • A black background version exists.
  • The logo sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • On La Brea, the logo is kinda similar to the 4th logo (including the original Keshet wordmark and the original colors from the 2nd-5th logos), but the flipping is different and the colors don't move.
  • On Echo 3, the text below says "PRODUCTIONS".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Keshet programmes produced in the US, such as The Baker and the Beauty, La Brea and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector. Also seen on the 2019 film The Sound of Silence.
