Background

L'Atelier Animation is a Montreal-based animation studio that was founded in 2014. The company signed a multi deal with the Canadian independent film distributor Caramel Films before it was acquired by Cinesite in 2022.

The name was derived from a word, which was French for "Workshop".

Logo (August 17, 2014- )

Visuals: On a black background, a light appears and turns like a lighthouse, leaving particles. It turns around and writes "L'ATELIER" (French for "WORKSHOP") with the star on top of the "I". Below it is the word "ANIMATION".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A drumroll. Sometimes, the logo is silent or the opening theme of the movie is used.

Availability: Seen on Ballerina (Leap! in the US), among others.
