Background
LG Electronics once manufactured smartphones and tablet devices under its LG Mobile unit. On July 31, 2021, LG's mobile phone division was shut down due to heavy competition from other smartphone manufacturers.
1st Logo (early/mid 2000s-2007)

Visuals:
- Startup: There is a white background. It fades to a starry view with some sort of building. Later, a shooting star goes through the stars.
- Shutdown: There is an evening background with a lighthouse. The lighthouse's light goes through the background. The sequence then fades to black.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio:
- Startup: A MIDI jazz theme.
- Shutdown: A long, quick MIDI ditty.
Availability: Seen when you boot up various LG phones from the 2000s.
2nd Logo (2012-2013)
Visuals:
- Startup: A pink ribbon swirls on a black background, forming a sphere. The sphere turns towards the camera, revealing the LG circle. The LG word mark fades in to the right of the LG circle. The logo shines until the phone is finished starting up.
- Shutdown: The LG circle turns away from us, reverting into a ribbon, which leaves. The LG word mark fades out.
Technique: CGI
Audio:
- LG Optimus G: The same tune from the previous logo.
- LG G2: Unknown.
Availability: It is seen when you boot up an LG Optimus G, LG G2 or any other smartphones released by LG at the time.
3rd Logo (2014-2021)

Visuals:
- Startup: On a black background, there is a moving pink circle that rotates to reveal the LG circle. A pink light also movies while the LG circle moves, until eventually zooming out. "L" and "G" come out letter by letter while the LG circle blinks and gains its gloss. "Life's Good" fades in below. (This animation is very similar to the logo used on LG's commercials at the time, except it takes place on a black background.) The LG circle shines until the phone is at the lock screen.
- Shutdown: The animation is played in reverse, but removes the shining at the end of the startup.
Variant: Starting from 2015, the font of the "LG" text is changed from Helvetica Black to LG Smart. This was first seen on the LG G Flex 2.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio:
- Startup: Unknown
- Shutdown: A truncated version of the startup theme.
Availability: Seen on LG's more recent smartphones from 2014 until 2021, with the final smartphone made by the company being the LG Velvet 2 Pro, which was only sold to LG employees.
Legacy: This logo was notorious among the tech community, due to being seen as symbolic of LG's persistent boot-loop issues.
