Background

This is the production company of Rock Demers, who sold it to director Dominic James in 2015. It is best known for producing the Tales for All (Contes pour tous) film series, and (more famously) The Peanut Butter Solution.

1st Logo (October 3, 1984-1988)

Visuals: On a green background, a row of party guests are waiting outside a white box with a door containing a picture of a red party hat. When the door opens, it launches a few musical notes that pop shortly after. The door closes and re-opens as well as the screen zooming out each time a guest enters. In order, the guests consist of a juggler wearing green riding a unicycle, a dog, a mother wearing an orange robe with her brother in a yellow shirt, a wizard, a witch with a big nose, an Indian, a boy in green polka-dot pajamas, a fat husband wearing a blue shirt alongside his wife in a red robe, an eskimo, a seal, a pirate, and a little girl in pink. By the time the wizard enters the room, "La Fete" in white and a fancy font with the first "e" wearing a party hat pops out of the room, flying up and zooming towards the camera. The line and the room disappears and the logo becomes green with the party hat changing to a red color.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: A shortened excerpt of "Calling All Clowns" by David Lindup. A whistle sound during the song is synced when the logo pops out of the room.

Availability: It can be seen on early Tales for All films such as The Dog Who Stopped the War and The Peanut Butter Solution.

2nd Logo (December 16, 1988-1994)

Visuals: Over a blue gradient background, there are multiple guests (now more realistic compared to last time) walking into a tan-colored room. As the door with a party hat opens, it launches balloons as light comes out. Eventually, musical notes would fly out of the room before popping as in the previous logo. The list of party guests include a boy in a blue jacket with his dog, a little girl in green with her skunk, three kids holding on a bar attached to a skateboard, a musician holding a guitar case, a little redhead girl with a dolphin, a tall army general alongside a short frontiersman, a girl with very long hair, two boys riding a horse, a Little Red Riding Hood-esque girl with a weiner dog, and finally three kids: one a black girl, one a little boy riding her sister, and the sister walking a donkey. After they all entered, the door closes, the room rotates and zooms out to face the screen, and the door briefly opens to have the company logo fly out from the left and into the center. The background also changes to a pure blue background.

Technique: Same as before.

Audio: Same as before, but they're the last several seconds of the song as well as it being mostly unedited. Sound effects also accompany the logo from kids chatting to triangles when the music notes pop, and various other sounds like a horse walking. After this, there is a door close, a whoosh when the room zooms out, a door opening, a descending slide whistle, and finally kids cheering and clapping when the logo appears.

Availability: Seen on Tales for All films at the time like Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveller and The Clean Machine.

3rd Logo (June 22, 2001-July 25, 2014)

Visuals: On a gold background, the screen zooms out to unveil a weird pink monster consisting of only a head and limbs while wearing a red crown. He sticks out one of his hands, which is shown holding a stick glowing red and green lights. He then shoves it in his mouth and releases a morphing green, black spotted reptile-like creature. This creature then opens its mouth and burps out a red, gold, and green mixture, the latter color of which is zoomed into and forms a thinner and 2D version of the La Fete logo from before.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Starting off with a dramatic synth note with a reverbed cymbal crash, it then becomes a child-like woodwind and xylophone tune. Children's laughter are heard throughout the logo alongside more whooshes accompanied with glittering. At the end of the logo, a high-pitched slide whistle sound is heard when the ribbon on the party hat floats.

Availability: Seen on later Tales for All movies, like Daniel and the Superdogs and Summer with the Ghosts. It made its last appearance on The Outlaw League.

4th Logo (February 24, 2023-)

Visuals: On a blue gradient background, the room from the first logo is shown in a blue fill, with the party hat in yellow, and a shaodw facing rightwards. For the majority of the sequence, the room shakes and bounces as the party inside gradually becomes greater, releasing yellow, frenetic patterns such as stars in the air. Afterwards, the door opens to reveal the La Fete logo zooming towards the screen. It is initially in gold before the text becomes filled in a white-light steel blue vertical gradient. The party hat remains in the former color.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The same soundtrack from the early logos is used here. Like said logos, excerpts are used, ending with kids cheering. Additionally, the effect changes from the style of a radio to a stereo, orchestrated quality.

Availability: The logo is seen on Coco Farm.
