Background

Lighthouse Interactive was a Netherlands-based international game publisher started in 2005. In 2008, it was purchased by the Canadian-based media company SilverBirch Inc. Lighthouse went bankrupt in March 2009, when SilverBirch folded two months earlier.

Logo (2005-2009)

Visuals: A man wearing an orange coat enters a lighthouse building while a rainstorm occurs outside. He waves his flashlight, then takes a lever and pulls it down. Immediately, an electric impulse runs up, by some wires, we follow it quickly and release out. The lighthouse lamp starts to brighten, the camera zooms out to view the lighthouse building, atop a rock around the sea as the lighthouse emits light. Then it converts into a print picture on the orange background box. "LIGHTHOUSE INTERACTIVE" appears below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The sound of thunder and the pulling lever. Then suddenly, a dramatic soundtrack starts tied to the impulse running, which sounds like something from a spy movie. It ends with a peaceful horn theme when the lighthouse fully turns on.

Audio Trivia: The sound of the thunder in this logo would go on to be used as a stock sound effect in Roblox games.

Availability: Can be found on games the company published, like Keepsake, Avencast, Sword of the Stars, and some others.
