Background

PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (also known as MNC Media or simply as MNC) is an Indonesian media company that was established on June 17, 1997, under the name PT Panca Andika Mandiri. It was later renamed to its current name on September 12, 2002. MNC Media is owned by PT Global Mediacom Tbk (formerly known as PT Bimantara Citra Tbk), which is, in turn, owned by MNC Asia Holding. Saban Capital Group, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, acquired a 7.5% stake in the company on October 17, 2011.

MNC's primary business is content creation, and the company owns and operates four free-to-air television networks, namely RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, and iNews. Additionally, the company has 19 channels that are broadcast on pay television under the MNC Channels division. MNC also has other media-related businesses, including radio, print media, talent management, and a production house that support its core businesses.


1st Logo (2003-2009)

Visuals: On a blue background, the screen zooms out from the MNC tiles with no line and is rotating. Dashes can be seen on the left of the tiles. Then, the circular line draws on the tiles. After that, the letters "MNC" zoom out to the left one-by-one before "Media Nusantara Citra" zooms out to under the letters. Rays of light appears behind the logo as multiple small squares form on the background. The tiles stop rotating.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A light synthesized tune ending in a strings-dominated flourish.

Availability: It was seen on MNC news outlets (Seputar Indonesia, Kilas Global) at the time, and series like Office Boy, and the 2009 revival of Srimulat. RCTI+ printings as well as the DCU DVD release of Office Boy retain this logo, although the current reruns and YouTube print have this plastered by the 3rd logo. At least two episodes on YouTube has the very first few bits of the logo before it cuts to the 3rd logo, due to sloppy plastering.

2nd Logo (2009-2010)


Visuals: On the white background, the tiles forming with the word "MNC" flying letter-by-letter, and the cube particles flying, the circle writing on the tile, and the light appears.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A chime tune.

3rd Logo (2009-2014)

Visuals: On a silver background, We the the tiles forming, the light beam coming though it, the circle writing, and the tile spinning, the word "MNC" slides in from the right letter-by-letter, with the particle of the tiles and the curve blue lines, the light shining on the word. Since 2013, the word "SOUTHEAST ASIA'S LARGEST AND MOST INTEGRATED MEDIA GROUP" is now added below it.

Audio: A short version of the same chime tune from before.

4th Logo (2014-)


Visuals: After a white screen is the MNC logo from before on a set of gray/white diagonal lines, and "MEDIA" is seen below it. "SOUTHEAST ASIA'S LARGEST AND MOST INTEGRATED MEDIA GROUP" is seen below, also in blue. A light passes through the logo. Since 2015, the words is no longer italic and in a different font, the diamond tile is also little bit darker. Since 2021, an enhanced widescreen version of the logo was made, the word "MEDIA" is now darker and the word "MNC" is moving a little bit.

Variant: On Starpro-produced programs, the background was blurred on the 2015 version of the logo.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Either the chime tune from before, the closing theme of the show, or none.
