Background

Mahogany Pictures Inc. was a film company from Philippines.

1st Logo (January 18, 1995)

Visuals: On a black background, the narrowed letters of "MAHOGANY" appear and slide to the middle one by one. The text "PICTURES INC." zooms below it.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: The opening theme of movie.

Availability: Only seen on Proboys.

2nd Logo (October 11, 1995-1998)

Visuals: On a black background, the screen pans to the right to see the big letter "m" with two green leaf shapes above it, and with the text "mahogany" below it. The text "PICTURES INCORPORATED" zooms out and is placed over the right side of the "m". The panning stops after that.

Variant: The logo is more darker in SPO4 Santiago.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A deep tune with a loud whoosh when the text zooms out, ending with a timpani hit.

Audio Variants:

  • On Dog Tag: Katarungan sa aking kamay, the logo is silent.
  • Sometimes, the whoosh is omitted.
  • On Delinkwente, a whoosh sound is heard without music.
  • On Kid Manalo, akin ang ulo mo (the company's last film), a creepy theme that sounds like a door creaking is heard.

Availability: Can be found on movies like Ang Titser Kong Pogi, Kid Manalo, akin ang ulo mo, and Pag-Ibig Ko Sayo'y Totoo; which are the company's films made until its dissolution.
