Background

Mayhem Pictures is the production company of Gordon Gray and Mark Ciardi, and was founded sometime around in the 2000s. The company had an overall first look deal with Walt Disney Pictures for twelve years, producing several sports films for the studio such as Miracle, Invincible, The Game Plan, Secretariat, Million Dollar Arm, among others. The company didn't have an on-screen logo nearly a decade later until 2014; prior to that they only had an in-credit notice on their films.

1st Logo (May 16, 2014)

Note: The logo is seen at 0:47 in the video.

Visuals: On a black background, several metallic gray shard-like pieces appear zooming out rapidly from the screen, forming a large "M". As the last few pieces come together, the 3D spaced out words, "MAYHEM PICTURES" in Calibri appear in gray zooming out quickly with the pieces. Once fully completed, a large teal reflected light suddenly appears behind it, as a bright white light quickly shines over most of the "M". The light dies down after a few seconds, darkening the logo a bit. The completed logo shows some searchlight-like things appearing on the inside of the "M".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Just the closing theme of the film.

Availability: Seen only at the end of Million Dollar Arm.

2nd Logo (March 6, 2020-)

Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with the white text "MAYHEM" in a graffiti-style font. Below it is "PICTURES", in the Helvetica font in white and spaced out.

Variants:

  • It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
  • On Mare of Easttown, the logo is a bit smaller.

Technique: A still digital graphic. However, on The Way Back, it scrolls up with the credits.

Audio: Same as before, or in other cases, none.

Availability: First seen on The Way Back, and it also appears on the TV shows Most Dangerous Game on Qubi/Roku Channel and Mare of Easttown on HBO.
