1st logo (1980s)

Visuals: There is a still logo taken place on a space background with a globe on the middle left; it has longitude and latitude lines, and the top left quarter is red and the others black. Next to it are the words "meridian education corporation" in black with white outlining:

meridian
education corporation

While this is a still logo, the still logo zooms in throughout.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An electronic jingle with electronic sounds, then a descending synth chord is heard.

Availability: Seen on early releases of Meridian VHS tapes

2nd logo (1990s)

Visuals: On a space background, there is a globe, which is Earth, spinning throughout, which pans out to the left side of the screen. After the globe is at the left side of the screen, the globe turns from Earth to a blue/purple globe, with longitude and latitude lines. "meridian" sweeps up from the bottom of the screen to next to the globe, then "education corporation" moves from the right, the letters upward, then unfolded as it goes under "meridian". It ends up in this result:

meridian
education corporation

Then the name "shines" left to right (think the Touchstone logo).

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An uplifting synth tune.

Availability: Seen on Meridian releases of the period.
