Background
Miramar Productions (also known as Miramar Images) was a home video distributor, production company, and new age/ambient music label founded in 1985 and located in Seattle, Washington. It was purchased by Unapix Entertainment in 1996 and folded in 2001 when Unapix went bankrupt.
Logo (1985-1996)
Visuals: On a black background, the word "MIRAMAR" along with a mirrored copy of it, slides in and out until they form the stacked words "MIRAMAR PRODUCTIONS" which are divided by a line.
Variant: Sometimes, the word "PRESENTS" appears below "PRODUCTIONS"
Technique: 2D animation of the mirrored word sliding in-between with smooth animation.
Audio: A dramatic synth-violin/piano tune.
