Background

Natsume Inc. was originally the American subsidiary of the Japanese Natsume, but starting in 1995, it became an independent company from the original Natsume. In 2013, the company had set up its division Natsume Inc. Japan to handle localization of Japanese games.

(July 1992-)

Logo: On a white, black or a customized background, we see a purple box with the post-1990 Natsume logo inside. Below it was the text "Serious Fun".

Variants:

  • The logo is paired with the Infogrames logo on Action in New York.
  • An earlier version of the logo exists, where the logo lacks the slogan.
  • Sometimes, the logo is superimposed in the staff credits. It was only seen on the 2008 Japanese Nintendo DS game of Cave's Ohimesama Debut.

Technique: None.

Audio: None, or the opening/ending theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on virtually all Natsume games from the era, starting with the SNES game of Spanky's Quest, with the standard logo making its debut on the SNES game of Pocky & Rocky.
