Not to be confused with New Line Cinema or New Line Home Entertainment.

Background

New Line Entertainment was a pirated home video company from Spain.

1st Logo (Early-Mid 1980s?)

Visuals: On a black background, a light blue thick line zooms from above, and stands in the middle as it rotates to reveal a flat square. The outlined words "NEW LINE" are being written over the square, causing the square to shatter. A diamond gem that's facing upward zooms in, then zooms out and moves to the right shortly after. After a few seconds, two red lines are being wiped over as they point over the gem.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: "Holding Pattern I" by John Surman. The music may be different by each tape they released.

Audio Variant: On a slightly edited VHS release of Yeti, il gigante del 20 secolo, right after the square shatters, the opening theme of the movie can be heard throughout the logo. However, the red lines don't appear at the end of the logo.

Availability: It appears on their releases from the era. [Examples?]

2nd Logo (Mid 1980s?-Mid 1990s?)

Visuals: On a light blue background, there are the words "NeW LINe" with both gaps of "NeW" attached as a rounded square. Below them is "entertainment".

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on the VHS release of Sword of Gideon, and their mid 1980s-90s releases.

3rd Logo (Early-Mid 2000s)

Visuals: The screen fades onto a zooming dark blue space background. The "N" and the "W" is being wiped over, aswell as the "e". Then, the words "LINe" are being wiped over by various directions, leaving a ray flash. The words "entertainment" fade below. The entire logo is surrounded by a white glow.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: An upbeat theme with a pair of whooshes.

Availability: It appears on a few DVD releases. [Examples?]
