Background: Nigerian Television Authority is the main television broadcaster of Nigeria. It was founded in 1959 under the name of WNTV, but was later renamed to NTA in 1977.
(1983?-1990s)
Logo: Starts off on a black screen. A yellow-blue-dark green background with the map of Nigeria trails in. Then letters fly to their position letter-by-letter to form the NTA logo. As the Nigerian map and colored background fade out, the formed NTA logo moves up for space to the text "NIGERIAN TELEVISION AUTHORITY" and below "NATIONAL PROGRAMMES".
FX/SFX: The Nigerian map flying in, the letters moving, the map fading out, and the text fading in.
Music/Sounds: A rising drone noise when the Nigerian map trails in. Then a synthesized piece throughout the logo.
Availability: Taken from shows produced by NTA at the time, such as The Bala Miller Show and The Village Headmaster.
