1st Logo (Late 2004)

Visuals: There are two "rectangles" (even though they are screens). They rotate in the Y-axis to reveal a Nintendo DS, which zooms out after. Then the Nintendo DS logo (albeit with a slightly larger space between the two letters of "DS") is shown. "coming november 21" fades in under the logo, while "www.nintendods.com" fades in at the bottom of the screen. The entire thing glitches afterwards.

Variant: On the 15-second commercial, it is sped up until the Nintendo DS logo is shown.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The ending of the commercial.

Availability: Seen on three North American commercials before the console's launch.

2nd Logo (November 2004-2013)

Visuals: Over a white background is the Nintendo DS logo (which is "Nintendo" in the Bank Gothic MD BT font next to a large "DS" with what looks like a little window in "DS"). Some "O"s shoot out all over, in gray, black and red.

Variant: On commercials aired on Japanese TV in December 2004 is Hikaru Utada drawing a circle on the DS part of the logo and the DS symbol shoots out all over in pink.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A piano note that sounds very similar to the first note of the Intel jingle.

Availability: Seen on Japanese and Korean commercials for games for the console.

3rd Logo (2000s-2010s)

Visuals: There are two "O"s stacked on top of each other. They quickly zoom in and out twice. Then "O"s fly out of the screen. The logo zooms in to start the commercial.

Technique: Great 2D animation.

Audio: Same as the Nintendo DS startup, but echoed, and without the synth string note.

Availability: Seen on Nintendo DS commercials from the UK.
