Background

Nitrogen Studios is a Canadian animation studio founded in October 2003 by Greg Tiernan and Nicole Stinn. They were acquired by British effects and animation company Cinesite in March 2017, with the studio being rebranded to Cinesite Vancouver.

Logo (September 8, 2009-December 25, 2012)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is a lighter blue circle. Inside it is a black stylised "N". Below is the text "NITROGEN STUDIOS", also in black, with the smaller lowercase text "canada inc" underneath it.

Technique: A still 2D graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or in other cases, silence.

Availability: Seen on Thomas & Friends from series 13 to 16 (this doesn't appear on series 12 despite them providing CGI), as well as the movies/specials Hero of the Rails, Misty Island Rescue, Day of the Diesels and Blue Mountain Mystery.
