From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

1st Intro (1985-1986)

Visuals: On a black background, rainbow copies of the text "OMAN TELEVISION" slide down and shine. The text in the center disappears, as well as a white line shrinking, and a white circle with the emblem of Oman zooms in. Two lines fade in above and below, soon morphing into an eye shape, and its red copy fades in also. The circle fades into a spinning globe with the white word "NEWS" spinning around it, and settling in the center.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: An upbeat synth theme accompanied by a choir.

2nd Intro (October 9, 1986)

Visuals: Over a black background with a close-up of a sphere below, a blue wireframe globe with yellow landmass is shown spinning. The footage fades to the blue map of the world shining, and the white text "OMAN TV NEWS" types in above.

Technique: Scanimate footage and typing effects.

Audio: The end of "Acceptance Brandenburger" by The Nice.
