Background

Oxford Films was once the educational arm of Paramount Pictures, along with Paramount Communications, not to be confused with Paramount's then-future parent company.

1st Logo (1970s)

Logo: The words "OXFORD FILMS" in a curvy 1970s font is centered on a blue background with "A SUBSIDIARY OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION" below. The words "PRESENTS" in a plain sans serif font appear underneath the logo.

Technique: None, just the fade in and out.

Music/Sounds: Either silent or the ending theme of the short.

Availability: Was seen on educational films produced by Paramount.

2nd Logo (1970s)

Logo: On a black screen, we see the words "DISTRIBUTED BY" on top. The familiar Paramount logo from the 70's is seen inside a box on the left. At the right is "OXFORD FILMS". Under it, the words "A SUBSIDIARY OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES CORPORATION" is seen.

Variant: A superimposed version of the logo exists.

Technique: None, just the fade in and out.

Music/Sounds: Either silent or the ending theme of the short.

Availability: Was seen on educational films produced by Paramount.

3rd Logo (Date to be confirmed)

Logo: It's basically an edited version of the Paramount Television "Closet Killer" logo.

Technique: Same as the "Closet Killer" logo.

Music/Sounds: Possibly the same as the "Closet Killer" logo, or none.

Availability: Ultra rare. Seen on the company's final educational films.
