Apple TV+ is a subscription video service which launched on November 1, 2019 in over 100 countries. It was announced in March 2019 at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park in Cupertino, California during the annual Apple Special Event. Among the celebrities involved with projects on the service who were in attendance during the announcement were Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Jason Momoa. Apple TV+ content can be seen on apple.com and on the Apple TV app. The service offers original content (most of which is done through production deals with other companies) and a select amount of acquired movies and television series (such as
Fraggle Rock and various
Peanuts television specials).
