1st Logo (1973-2001)

Prakash Mehra Productions (1973)Prakash Mehra Productions (1978)Prakash Mehra Productions (2001)

Logo: On a nearly salmon pink background, we see a silhouette of a large clay oval standing upright on a platform, featuring what looks like text.. Behind it is a pink and purple fog. The light fades up and reveals that the text is big stone "PMP" in brownish-gray letters, seemingly laid against the oval. Over the M is what looks like a red flame, and underneath "PMP" on the side of the platform is "PRAKASH MEHRA PRODUCTIONS" also in stone.

Variant: On Sharaabi, the logo appears in the middle of a pink and red smoke.

FX/SFX: All live action.

Music/Sounds: A shrill violin sound going up then down four times, followed by three French horn notes in different pitches to denote the letters.

Music/Sounds Variants: On prints of the film Sharaabi (Drunkard), the logo plays normally but the music is played in reverse. On Zanjeer (Shackles), the first film to feature the logo, the music is a simple sitar theme with the quiet beat.

Availability: Featured on several films produced by Prakash Mehra. The last film to feature the logo isMujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (2013)

FX/SFX: CGI Animation.

Music/Sounds: A rhythmical melody with drums, claps and a chord instrument.

Availability: Seen only on the 2013 remake ofZanjeer.
