1st Logo (August 4, 2005-)

This video lists all variants until season 13, with the 2018 logo at the end.

This video lists the variant from season 5 with a higher pitch.

This video lists the variant from season 14.

This video lists the variant from season 15.

This video lists the variant from season 16.

Visuals: On a black background, there's a white box with a red border, showing three men (Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton) wearing sunglasses and jackets. The text "RCH" is above them.

Variant: Starting in 2008 with episode 3 of season 4 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the name was changed to "RCG", where Glenn's last name is replaced by his first name.

Technique: A live-action photograph with digital editing.

Audio: The men saying a line -- which is played in reverse, which is different in every season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (except Season 11) but more often than not revolves around the word "brown".

Lines: Here's the full list of lines revealed:

  • Season 1 (August 4-September 15, 2005): Charlie and Glenn say "You're stupid for playing this forward."
  • Season 2 (June 29-August 17, 2006): Rob and Glenn say "Is a brown, is a brown, is a brown." "Good work." (x2)
  • Season 3 (September 13-November 15, 2007): All 3 men sing "Make it brown!" (x4), in a barbershop style.
  • Season 4 (September 18-November 20, 2008): All 3 men sing "Clown baby, brown clown." (x2)
  • Season 5 (September 17-December 10, 2009): Rob says "Next stop: Brown Town." (x3)
  • "A Very Sunny Christmas" (November 17, 2009): Rob, with a chorus effect, says "Sorry for wasting your time and money, but thanks for your money." This references the episode first premiering on DVD and Blu-ray before airing on TV.
  • Season 6 (September 16-December 9, 2010): It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is produced in HD starting with this season, so Glenn says "Brown - now in HD." (x2)
  • Season 7 (September 15-December 15, 2011): Charlie says "Seven seasons of brown." (x2), meaning that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia reached seven seasons. This variant can be also seen on the failed pilot of Living Loaded.
  • Season 8 (October 11-December 20, 2012): Rob says "The brownings will continue." (x2)
  • Season 9 (September 4-November 6, 2013): Charlie sings "The eagle's born out of thunder!" This is a line from the song "Birds of War", sung in "The Gang Wrestles for the Troops".
  • Season 10 (January 14-March 18, 2015): Charlie sings "They got chicken in Philly!" (x3)
  • Season 11 (January 6-March 9, 2016): An 8-note horn tune is heard, followed by Glenn saying "Brown." The entire audio is played normally this time, though it's sometimes played in reverse.
  • Season 12 (January 4-March 8, 2017): Glenn says "Goodbye everyone. It's been brown." (x2)
  • Season 13 (September 5-November 7, 2018): Charlie says "Hey baby, butter baby, bitter butter, bitter butter, brown!"
  • Season 14 (September 25-November 20, 2019): Rob says "They leave, but they all come back. Brown."
  • Season 15 (December 1-22, 2021): All 3 men sing "Four walls, the better brown!"
  • Season 16 (June 7-July 19, 2023): A crowd (including Rob, Charlie and Glenn) shout "Make it brown!" (x2), referring to the third season's variant.

Audio Variants:

  • On the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episodes "Gun Fever" and "Charlie Got Molested", the logo's audio echoes.
  • On Netflix's print of the season 5 premiere of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, entitled "The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis", the logo's audio is high-pitched, along with the 3 Arts Entertainment, FX Productions, and FX logos. This is due to the service using a PAL print.
  • Sometimes, the end theme plays over it.
  • On On the Record with Mick Rock, Charlie says (reversed, as always) "Look, it's a totally different show!"

Availability: Seen on the FX series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the series Unsupervised. It was also seen on the failed pilot of Living Loaded and On the Record with Mick Rock.

2nd Logo (September 28, 2018-)

Visuals: On a white wall, there is a man in a suit on the left, pointing at the portrait of the three men from before (now painted), inside a golden-framed portrait. The text "RCG" is seen above with a black outline, with "PRODUCTIONS" below it in black.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: The man saying "That's pretty good." or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on The Cool Kids and Mythic Quest (titled Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet for its first season). Used in tandem with the previous logo.
