Background

Reelin' in the Years Productions is a media preservation company, devoted to licensing musical performances and interview footage. A large portion of this is from two talk they have entirely brought the rights to, The Merv Griffin Show and City Lights.

1st Logo (2007)

Logo: On a shady green background, we see a filmstrip scrolling on the left. Zooming out is a superimposed film-reel with the words "Reelin' In The Years Productions, LLC." in gold with a bright yellow glow around it next to it.

FX/SFX: Just the filmstrip scrolling and the logo zooming out.

Music/Sounds: Just a projector sound.

Availability: Can be found on some Jazz Icons DVDs by NAXOS. This logo follows the NAXOS logo.

Editor's Note: A simple logo with a bizarre and unfitting color scheme for what it is attempting to portray.

2nd Logo (2012-)

Logo: Against a spotlight background, 3 film reels zoom out and form one big one. As the spotlight dies down and focuses on the reel, the strip comes out and the name appears, forming the logo. Copyright info appears as the spotlight forms a gradient background.

FX/SFX: The reels, text and spotlight.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Can be seen on reruns of The Merv Griffin Show on free broadcast nostalgia channels.

Editor's Note: Thankfully, the color issues were fixed with this logo. This logo is strangely similar to the first Original Productions logo.
