Background

Roja Combines is a Tamil-language film production company founded by Kaja Mydeen. The company was largely active during the late 1990s and early 2000s, however it largely became inactive during Kollywood's transition to digital cinema and rising costs in the industry.

Logo (August 1, 2000-February 15, 2002)

Visuals: On a blue foggy background, multiple petals of a rose fly around and begin to connect, while the rest of its stem and leaves fades in below it. While the camera stops rotating and begins zooming back, the silver words "ROJA" and "COMBINES" blur in at the sides, and a flash emerges creating a yellow dividing line with "PRESENTS" below. Once the camera settles, the text changes to its Tamil translation, being "ரோஜா கம்பைன்ஸ்" for the name and "வழங்கும்" for the text below.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: An ambient synth theme, with three whooshes playing respectively at the beginning, the appearance of the text, and the flash.

Availability: The logo can be seen in Pennin Manathai Thottu, Alli Thandha Vaanam, Vaanchinathan, and Charlie Chaplin.
