Samsung Fun Club

Background

Samsung Fun Club was a mobile service included in various Samsung phones from the mid 2000s to download ringtones and images, watch video clips and play video games throught the world of internet.

1st Logo (2005-2006)

Logo:

Startup: On a white background, there are 3 puddles in both yellow, magenta, and light blue. Blobs come out of them and form the text "Ḟᴜ̇ɴ". A light blue background forms, and the Ḟᴜ̇ɴ text moves to the left. Meanwhile, the text "Club" writes itself and moves to the right. This completes the text Ḟᴜ̇ɴ Club. The Samsung wordmark appears above the Ḟᴜ̇ɴ Club text. The URL appears below as well. There is also a reflection under the Ḟᴜ̇ɴ Club text.
Shutdown: The blobs from the startup all fall in a light blue background. The background turns white, and the Samsung wordmark in blue fades in along with the Ḟᴜ̇ɴ Club text and the URL. Both are which small and under the big blue S/\MSUNG wordmark.

Technique: A mix of 3D and 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: The same music from the Samsung (2000s) startup and shutdowns. This also includes new music from the 4th shutdown logo variant (The one where the line connected balls spin) and new music not from the 4th shutdown logo. These include

A crystal sounding like music
A happy sounding tune. Complete with trumpets, a xylophone, and drums. This was for the startup. For the shutdown, it's different with rhode sounds, and a boing sound (which doesn't sound a lot like the boing sound from the 2nd Klasky-Csupo logo) at the end.
A tune with random notes. This tune would later get reorchestrated with more instruments, and would be a little bit louder.
A dramatic synth tune. For the shutdown, the same, but with higher notes and in the end, switches over to a sound that sounds like a game over screen.
A 4 note tune. For the startup, it goes A, G, A, C. For the shutdown, it goes A, F, A, G. The first two notes of the shutdown are high pitched. This would later get reorchestrated with the baseline of the shutdown getting louder and even going warped.
A happy sounding tune with rhodes.
Another happy sounding tune. Not with rhodes, but with synth.
The cheerful tune from the 2nd 2000s Samsung startup and shutdown but reorchestrated with the same instruments from the 1st 2000s Samsung startup and shutdown.

Music/Sounds Trivia: The 4 note tune would be later used for more startups and shutdowns.

2nd Logo (2006-2007)

Logo:

Startup: Gold dots form a gold Ḟ. We then zoom out of the magenta ᴜ̇ which is also filled with dots. After zooming out it is revealed to be the text "Ḟᴜ̇ɴ" with the ɴ being blue instead of light blue. It then cuts to the same thing from before but with a black background and with an extra "www." right next to "samsungmobile.com".
Shutdown: We zoom in from the different letters of Ḟᴜ̇ɴ. The Ḟᴜ̇ɴ text then zooms out and the same thing from the startup appears.

Variants:

Sometimes the logo can be high contrasted.
There is a variant where after the Ḟᴜ̇ɴ text forms, the end is shown for a split second. Then a new scene plays. Blue dots form the blue S/\MSUNG wordmark. After that, it cuts to the end of the startup but this time with the Samsung wordmark blue and the entire screen squished.

Music/Sounds: Same as before.

Music/Sounds Variants: The same musics from before can get reorchestrated. New music also gets thrown into the mix. This includes

The happy rhode music being reorchestrated with new instruments.
The random notes tune being reorchestrated with a piano.
Disco music.
The 4 note tune being reorchestrated with a rhode.
A Christmas sounding rendition of the cheerful tune from before.
The 4 note tune being reorchestrated with violins.
A remix of the 4 note tune.
The 4 note tune being reorchestrated with a xylophone and a piano.
A loud, but cheerful and happy tune. For the startup, the notes ascend. For the shutdown, they descend.

3rd Logo (2007)

Logo:

Startup: Streaks form the Samsung Fun Club logo from before. The URL fades under.
Shutdown: The logo dissapears.

Technique: 2D animation

Music/Sounds: The 4 note rhode tune.
