Background

This is the vanity plate of Michael Showalter.

1st Logo (November 21, 2016-April 7, 2022)

Visuals: There is a filmstrip sliding up to reveal a tan-brown screen inside with a pigeon wearing a bowler hat, a bowtie and a cane. Next to it is the text "SEMI-FORMAL PRODUCTIONS, INC" in a college-esque font. The logo also has old film effects applied on it.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • There is a version where the logo is already formed with the film effects still going on.
  • On The Shrink Next Door, it is next to the Small Mammal Productions logo.
  • Sometimes, the text "INC" is removed.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Search Party, The Shrink Next Door and The Dropout.

2nd Logo (April 29, 2022-)

Visuals: On a plaid purple background with yellow, orange and white lines, there is a white box in the middle with the text "semi-formal PRODUCTIONS, INC". The pigeon from the previous logo (without the accessories on it this time) then walks in from the left before stopping near the text. Under all of this is a small box with stacked text saying "55% CHIFFON, 45% SPANDEX, SEE REVERSE FOR CARE".

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on I Love That for You.
