Background

This is the vanity plate of Michael Showalter.

(November 21, 2016-)

Logo: We see a filmstrip sliding up to reveal a tan-brown screen inside with a small bird wearing a bowler hat, a bowtie and a cane. Next to it is the text "SEMI-FORMAL PRODUCTIONS, INC" in a college-esque font. The logo also has old film effects applied on it.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • There is a version where the logo is already formed with the film effects still going on.
  • On The Shrink Next Door, it is next to the Small Mammal Productions logo.
  • On The Dropout, the text "INC" is removed.

FX/SFX: The sliding and film effects.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Search Party, The Shrink Next Door and The Dropout. Don't expect this logo to appear on the film The Eyes of Tammy Faye, despite Showalter being involved.

Editor's Note: None.
