American Warning Screens

1st Warning (1989-1991)

Visuals: Same as the 1st Warner Home Video warning at the time, except with the corners rounded.

Variant: On the 1990 VHS of Cartel (both retail and demo variants), the black area surrounding "FBI" and the FBI seal is filled in, there's a red border across the entire block, "WARNING" is shifted off further to the left, and the text is arranged differently.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on most Shapiro Glickenhaus Home Video tapes. [Examples?]

2nd Warning (1989-1991)

Same as the 1989 variant of the first Image Entertainment warning at the time.

Availability: Seen on Beverly Hills Bodysnatchers and the screener VHS of Thunderground.

3rd Warning (1990)

Same as the first screen of the 3rd Media Home Entertainment/Heron/Hi-Tops warning.

Availability: Seen on the 1990 screener VHS of Mob Story.

British Warning Screen

Screen (1991)

Visuals: On a black background, a flashing light blue star fades in. It shrinks and moves towards the top left of the screen as the same space background from the Preview bumper fades in. Just as the star finishes shrinking, the following text, in an italicised Times font, scrolls up, before eventually segueing into the 2nd SGE Home Video logo:
