Sierra Entertainment/Logo Variations

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

These are the logo variations seen throughout the years by Sierra Entertainment.

Codename: ICEMAN (1989): The Sierra wordmark appears from the bottom under the sea with a submarine nearby. Then after a few seconds, "Presents" appears. Both are dissolved by some smoke.

Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals (1989): The logo appears next to the legs of Larry Laffer and Passionate Patti. The Sierra logo then turns into the actual half dome mountain, as the Sierra wordmark and "PRESENTS" appear on the top and bottom of the logo respectively.

Sierra On-Line Christmas Card 1992 (1992): On a blue background, the Sierra logo (in lime) is seen, with the tops of both the mountain and text covered in snow. The Sierra theme is also redone (with a choir and chimes replacing the rising string portion). During a (noticeably different-sounding) 5-note chime sounder, snow drips from the mountain and falls off the text.

Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! (1993): The logo is in a pink colour and appears to be normal, then the music stops (like if a music player's batteries have ran out) and the Sierra text is replaced with "PRESENTS" in a childish-looking font.

Most Dynamix titles: After the logo finishes, Dynamix's furball mascot appears under the Sierra logo, dragging the Dynamix logo with him. Then he stops and says "Phew, Sierra!".

Police Quest: SWAT (1995): The logo appears normal at first, then a SWAT officer pops up from the bottom of the mountain and shoots at the letters, which spin.

Shivers (1995): Under a dark violet-tinted sky, a brown castle seen from a bug's-eye view is on the screen. Being revealed from a pink blowing cloud is the Sierra logo (in the style of the Moon), with the text below it.

Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco in the Spinal Frontier (1996): The logo appears in space, with a spaceship flying around the spinning Sierra logo, which is shaped like a 3D planet.

Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance (1996): The logo is attached to three other company logos in a space setting. An asteroid flies behind the spinning logos.

Front Page Sports: Trophy Bass II (1996): The logo is set behind a wall. Then the Dynamix furball mascot drags the Dynamix logo to the bottom and says "Phew, Sierra!".

Hunter Hunted (1996): Similar to the above logo, but the Sierra logo is damaged and the wall is covered in graffiti. After the furball drags the Dynamix logo and says "Phew, Sierra!", Garathe Den destroys the furball and it explodes into blue goop.

Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail! (1996): Larry Laffer attempts to hold up a sphere with the Sierra logo on in a museum setting, but it crushes him.

Lighthouse: The Dark Being (1996): The Sierra logo is formed through a rainstorm.

SWAT: Target Liberty (2007): A dark blue tinted camera static is applied to the logo, to which the mountain forms far quicker than normal. The final result of the logo zooms in rather than fading in, and it begins to flicker, which soon causes the screen to flicker as well (with the fuzzy lines seen on Analog TV), and then it cuts to the opening movie.

World in Conflict (2007): Helicopters surround the mountain in a red-tinted environment, which forms the Sierra logo in yellow on a red background. Then, static comes in to reveal a version of the logo with the hammer and sickle (a symbol meant to represent proletarian solidarity) and "СЬЕРРА" ("SIERRA" in Russian). The logo then changes to the normal logo through the same static transition.
