Background

Soraya Intercine Films is an Indonesian film company. Along with Parkit Films, they're best known for producing Warkop DKI films as well as Suzzanna films from the late 80s. It was formed by Ram Soraya on 1 June 1982. It was currently managed by Ram Soraya, Sunil Soraya, Rocky Soraya and Mohan Nankani.

1st Logo (December 26, 1983-1994)

Visuals: On a warp-paced zooming space background, the word "SORAYA" from left and "INTERCINE FILMS" from right zooms out, while leaving light trails, which follow the text, and "Dengan Bangga Mempersembahkan (Proudly Presents)" in a script, writes itself.

Variant: On international releases, "Proudly Presents" fade in, and the logo gets freeze-framed (probably done to prevent the Indonesian script from appearing).

Technique: Appears to be a combination of cel animation and Scanimate.

Audio: Starts with a laser zap sound, followed by some whooshes and a synthesized pound tune.

Availability: Seen on Warkop DKI films from the era. It can be also seen on a few horror films too, particularly late-80s Suzzanna films. Other films featuring this logo include Lady Terminator.

2nd Logo (September 26, 2008-)

Visuals: There is a close up filmstrip on a red cloudy background, panning down, then zooming out. After that, the words "SORAYA INTERCINE FILMS" zooms out, letter by letter. The logo "shines".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dramatic orchestral theme.

Availability: Seen on Chika, 5 cm, Moga Bunda Di Sayang Allah, Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck, Supernova, and other films. It also appears on the reprints of Warkop DKI TV show spin-off.
