1st Logo (1989-1991)

Visuals: On a zooming space background, several gold filmstrips quickly fly in one by one. Afterwards, they "explode" and turn into the golden SouthGate Entertainment logo, which has a tree and the word "SOUTHGATE" in a Playhouse Video-esque font. The word "ENTERTAINMENT' was seen below.

Variant: An in-credit variant exists.

Technique: CGI and Cel-animation.

Audio: A dramatic fanfare is heard, followed by loud whoosh sounds when the filmstrips fly in. It is followed by an explosion-like sound and a horn note.

Audio Variant: Sometimes it is silent or has background noise from a film playing over it.

Availability: Can be seen on tapes from this company such as Syngenor, The Cellar, Mutant on the Bounty, and The Outside Chance of Maximilian Glick, among others. It was also seen on the Paramount Home Video VHS and Tubi prints of the 1991 film Intimate Stranger.

2nd Logo (1989-1991)

Visuals: On a black background, the screen zooms to the logo from the first one but colored.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Norman's Awesome Experience (AKA: A Switch in Time) and Lethal Pursuit, among possible others.
